Overview

The anniversary event runs on badges rather than a shop or a code list. Each of the twenty featured games hands out one badge for completing its anniversary objective, and the badge is what unlocks the matching free UGC reward at the hub.

The Full Badge List

Each row shows the badge, the year it represents, its game and the exact requirement the objective asks of you. Some quests take five minutes, and a couple will take considerably longer across several sessions, as our difficulty ranking confirms. Use it to schedule the heavy years first.

Badge Difficulty Bands

Grouping the badges by effort makes it much easier to plan a session, since the fast ones cluster at the start of the timeline and the heavy ones sit near the end. Clearing the quick bands first means you always have a reward waiting at the hub.

Plan your evenings around these bands rather than trying to clear the badge locations in strict year order. A marathon objective is far less painful when it follows two or three instant wins, and the hub does not reward speed anyway.

Things That Block a Badge

Most missing badges come down to four ordinary situations, and three of them are resolved without ever touching the featured game again. Work through the cheap explanations first, because only one of the four actually means the anniversary objective failed.

Check these before you decide an objective needs replaying, because the cheap fixes solve the majority of cases covered in our badge troubleshooting page. A rejoin or a second look at the podium costs a minute, while a full replay can cost an entire evening.

• Leaving too early — A badge can take a moment to register after the final action, so give it a beat before exiting the experience.
• Repeating the same action — Several objectives count unique targets, so rescuing the same NPC twice does not advance the counter.
• Wrong account — Badges do not transfer, so confirm you are claiming on the account that actually earned the objective.
• Stale hub state — Rejoin the hub before replaying anything, since a fresh instance often reads the badge correctly.

Main Badges vs Secret Badges

The twenty main badges complete the historical timeline and unlock Year Infinity, the bonus area that holds the secret track. The twenty secret badges sit on a separate list that only opens once that bonus phase is live on your account.

Secret badges award their own exclusive accessories rather than the year rewards tied to the main track, and each one also grants a single fragment. Twenty fragments open the final puzzle, which carries the event's rarest prize, so a missed secret badge costs you more than an accessory.

The distinction matters when something looks broken. A missing main badge blocks the next year and stalls the whole timeline, while a missing secret badge only delays your fragment count, as the secret badges page explains in detail for each wave.

Tracking Your Badge Progress

The hub is the only reliable progress record, so build a habit around checking it rather than trusting your memory across several long sessions. The progression track shows which years are marked complete and which are silently pending and blocking the next unlock.

This routine takes seconds per year and prevents the most expensive mistake in the event, which is discovering a gap on the final day and having to use back travel to fix it. Checking early keeps the recovery optional rather than desperate.
